So excited to have been a part of WordCampNZ. If you’re curious, check out my Usability lightning talk presentation slides at the end of this post.

Of the many presenters on day one (I couldn’t attend day two) some highlights were hearing about GameFroot, a WordPress-based game creation tool and TangataWhenua.com, a Maori News and Views website based in Rotorua. Both are wonderful examples of what you can do with WordPress; life-changing kind of stuff.

There’s also some noises about a WordPress meetup, I’m excited to hear more about this. Auckland has lots of WordPress developers and designers, and it’s about time we all got together regularly. Stay tuned.
